Geedesk + Google Home = Increased guest satisfaction

Improved search in Geedesk [New Feature]

Yesterday we replaced our old search engine with a new and improved search engine.

In the old search engine users were able to search for tickets only with the Ticket IDs.

Whereas with the new search engine users can now search for tickets with room numbers, department in addition to Ticket IDs.

Admin Board in Geedesk [New Feature]

Admins need to work with a huge number of settings in Geedesk where in they have to turn on certain settings and turn off certain ones.

In a real world scenario this could be a cumbersome and might confuse the administrator on what settings he / she has enabled. To reduce the hassle of the administrators using Geedesk we have now introduced Admin Board in Geedesk.

Admin Board in Geedesk will display the summary of the settings that has been enabled by the administrator managing the account for any given property. This makes it easier for the administrator to keep track of the settings he / she has enabled in their accounts.

This feature has been rolled out in Geedesk and is available to all administrators in Geedesk. Admins can find this option under the admin menu in the side bar.

Add Ons in Geedesk [New Feature]

Today we have introduced Add-ons in Geedesk. There are three Add-ons that we have introduced.

  • Glitches
  • Lost and Found
  • Maintenance

Glitches

Glitches allows hotels to capture, track, investigate and resolve service issues and delays revolving around guest. These issues can be investigated and recovered while guests are still in the hotel, thus significantly increasing guest satisfaction.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found allows hotels to record and track the items lost or missed by guests in the hotel. Hotels can now record and document the items that has been returned to the guest or the ones that has been discarded.

Maintenance

Maintenance helps hotels streamline daily housekeeping and engineering activities resulting in effective monitoring and increase in staff productivity. A trial run at some of our customers have suggested sharp improvements.

More filters in Geedesk [New Feature]

We understand that filters could be very useful in generating and sorting the reports and data to help you focus on the desired piece of information. To make the reports more useful to you we have added new filters in explore tickets and custom reports.

In explore tickets you can now filter down the results in terms of categories (or departments). This comes in handy for multi-department managers and general managers to see the ticket volume on different days and different time frames.

Filters in custom reports

Since the day it was launched custom reports have always been an integral part of our customers’ operations. Most of our customers generate the reports with the custom reports feature before their morning status call and that becomes the reference point for the meeting. To make things more useful for our customers we have now added “room based filter” and “categories (department) based filter” in custom reports.

With this  users can now generate custom reports for certain rooms or categories (departments) or both.
